Strawberry and Bacon Salad image

Strawberry bacon salad is bright in color and flavor. The sweet summer strawberries, salty bacon, zesty red onion, and tart Feta cheese balance each other beautifully. Number Of Ingredients 14

6 c chopped lettuce
2 c fresh strawberries, chopped
8 slice bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 c red onion, chopped
1 c crumbled Feta cheese
DRESSING:
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp red onion, diced
1/3 c sugar
1/3 c white vinegar
1/4 c strawberries, chopped
1/2 c salad oil
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp poppy seeds

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, toss together chopped lettuce, strawberries, bacon, and red onion.
  • 2. In a food processor or blender, add all dressing ingredients and puree 1-2 minutes, until smooth.
  • 3. Pour dressing over salad.
  • 4. Top with crumbled Feta cheese.
