Stove-Top Cinnamon Apples Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: apple, water, lemon juice, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, raw honey

2 lb apple, (Golden / Ginger gold / Canada / Boskoop / Fuji)
½ cup water
½ teaspoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon ginger, peeled and grated
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon raw honey

Steps:

  • Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut the apples into small equal pieces. Put the apple pieces in a pot and add water
  • Add all the other ingredients: Lemon juice, cinnamon, pepper, and ginger. Simmer for 2 minutes at high flame while gently mixing all the ingredients with a wooden spoon.
  • Cover it and reduce the flame to medium for 5 minutes to bring to a boil.
  • Uncover it, add honey, then gently mix again with the wooden spoon, cover it and simmer on low flame for 20 minutes. Cook until you get a soft texture. Add 5 minutes if necessary.
  • Serve warm and/or store.
