I forgot that I had this recipe. I love sesame oil, so much, so I find this very tasty.

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lb fresh asparagus
2 tsp sesame seeds
2 Tbsp peanut oil
2 tsp grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp sesame oil

Steps:

  • 1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Lightly cook asparagus in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Drain, and immediately plunge asparagus into a bowl of ice water, until asparagus is cool, drain, and pat dry.
  • 2. Toast sesame seeds, in a dry skillet, over medium heat, until lightly browned, 3-5 minutes; transfer to a dish, and set aside to cool.
  • 3. Heat peanut oil, in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ginger and asparagus to the skillet. Season with salt, and cook, until ginger is fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat; toss with sesame oil and sesame seeds to serve. Makes 6 servings.
