SPINACH-BACON QUICHE image

I hsve to admit that Ihsven't made this pareicular quiche, but I like quiche a lot, and when I received this recipe in a "recipe-of-the-day" email from My Daily Moments.com, it looked and sounded so good, I decided to share the recipe with my just A Pinch friends. Thhe photo accompianied the recipe and is from My Daily Moments.com Happy cooking everybody. Don (5:55pm EDT 5/15/13)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1-10oz. package(s) frozen chopped spinach thawed
4 large eggs lightky beaten
1 1/2 cup(s) half and half
1-1.8oz package(s) leek soup mix
1/4 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
10 slice(s) bacon cooked & crumbled
1/2 cup(s) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
/1/2 cup(s) shredded mozzarella cheese
1-9" - unbaked frozen deep dish pastry shell

Steps:

  • Prepare pastry shell according to package directions
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees Drain soinach well, pressing between papoer towels
  • Whisk eggs and next 4 ingredients Stir in spinach, bacon, & cheeses reserve 1/2 cup of bacon bits for top pour egg mixture into pastry shell and place the pastry shell on a baking sheet sprinkle reserved bacon bits over top of prepared quiche. Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes. Allow baked quiche to set up for 5 minutes before cutting & serving. Enjoy for breakfast lunch or brunch. (6:50pmEDT 5/15/13)
