SPICY TUNA CAKES image

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 1/2 ounce tuna fish water packed, low sodium
1/4 bell pepper
1/2 small onion
2 tablespoons low sodium breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 italian plum tomato
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon olive oil

Steps:

  • Drain and flake the tuna into a mixing bowl. Rinse and chop pepper, onion and tomato. Beat egg white. Mix all ingredients except tomato and oil and shape mixture into one or two patties, depending on desired size. Cover and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium high heat and cook patty (patties) for about 3-4 miuntes on each side until golden brown. Serve topped with chopped tomato.
