Steps:
- Slice tofu into 8 slices and then again cross-ways to make 16 squares. Mix together remaining ingredients, except for scallions, in a bowl. Place tofu slices in a medium skillet or saucepan with a lid. Pour sauce over tofu, bring to a simmer, cover and cook on low for 5-7 minutes. Turn over slices of tofu, distributing sauce as much as possible, and add scallions. Cook, covered, for another 5-7 minutes. Chill overnight and serve cold.
