- Instructions Fry shallots in oil until crispy. Place into a small dish with remaining topping ingredients, tossing to combine. Set aside. In a small skillet combine all sauce ingredients, and bring to a boil. Reduce until thickened. Set aside. BBQ chicken, basting with a bit of the sauce, until fully cooked. Place chicken on a serving dish and pour over remaining sauce, and sprinkle over topping mixture.
