Steps:
- Add all spices to rum in a lidded 1 qt jar. Twist orange peel over to release oils into liquid, then add peel to jar. Scrape bean seeds into jar, then add vanilla bean. Cover jar tightly, shake to mix, and let sit in a dark place for 2 days, shaking once after the first day. Strain mixture through a cheesecloth into a clean bottle. Pitch spices. Will keep indefinitely if stored in a dark, dry place.
