Spiced Coffee Protein Smoothie image

Spice up your regular protein shake with the wonderful mix of gingerbread and coffee flavors. Perfect for after your workout or an on-the-go breakfast.

¼ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
¼ cup heavy cream
2 cups ice, or more to taste
1 cup chilled brewed coffee
1 ½ scoops vanilla protein powder
1 ½ cups unsweetened vanilla-flavored almond milk, or more to taste
1 teaspoon molasses
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Whisk Greek yogurt and whipping cream with an electric mixer until you have a thick whipped cream consistency.
  • Put all smoothie ingredients into a blender in the following order: 2 cups ice, chilled coffee, protein powder, 1 1/2 cups almond milk, molasses, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ginger. Blend until well mixed; you can adjust the consistency by either adding more ice or more almond milk.
  • Pour smoothie into 2 glasses, top with whipped topping, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
