Spaghetti with Cauliflower and Parmesan image

1 lb (500g) spaghetti
1 head cauliflower, broken into small florets
1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until al dente. Meanwhile, steam or cook cauliflower florets in boiling lightly salted water until tender.
  • 2. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan. Add onion, cook and stir until golden. Add garlic, and cook until golden brown. Stir in cauliflower and seasonings.
  • 3. Drain pasta, and transfer to a large serving bowl. Toss with onion and cauliflower mixture, and top with cheese.
