SOUTHERN SPICED PECANS image

Number Of Ingredients 7

400 grams pecan halves
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 Tbsp. coarse sea or kosher salt
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
2 tsp. sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Place the all ingredients in a bowl. Toss to combine. Spread pecans in one layer on parchment-lined or non-stick baking pan. Roast 20 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly toasted. Cool to room temperature. Store in a tight sealing container until ready to devour. The taste of these nuts richens with a day or 2 of aging
