Sour Milk Pancakes image

This is a real old recipe from when people did not have refrigeration and the milk would turn sour. Instead of throwing out the milk, they found a use for it in pancakes. Number Of Ingredients 8

4 c soured (curdled) milk
1 tsp baking soda
4 eggs
3/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp melted butter
3 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 Tbsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. In a large mixing bowl add the sour milk and soda. Let sit for about 5 minutes.
  • 2. Mix all the remaining ingredients with the sour milk and soda mixture. Beat with a mixer until smooth.
  • 3. Pour batter into a greased (I use Pam) hot skillet. Flip over when browned.
