'Somemores cake or brownies image

I was looking for a non iced cake to make for a church a bake sale one summer. I had all the ingredients and formulated this "Somores cake ! This recipe makes 2 large cakes or you can divide it into smaller ones easlily. Every time I make this for a bake sale it sells OUT and Is really liked by adults as well as kids ! great for...

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 box chocolate cake mix or 1 family size brownie mix (and the ingredents on box to make it )
1 box gram crackers
2 lg bag(s) mini marshmallows
OPTIONAL ADD INS... CHOCOLET CHIPS, NUTS EITHER IN THE MIX OR AS LAYER UNDER MARSHMALLOWS

Steps:

  • 1. spray 2 9x13 cake pans with cooking spray.
  • 2. layer 1 layer of gram crackers over bottom of pans
  • 3. mix chocolate cake mix (or brownie mix ) according to package directions. Divide and pour equal amounts over gram crackers.
  • 4. bake until almost done (use toothpick to test ) cover with layer of optional ingredients , top with a layer of marshmallows and cook until marshmallows are browned.
  • 5. immediately take out of oven and cover tops with gram crackers... press slightly.
