This cake is delicious and different enough that it really is a special treat when you make it for someone for their birthday or take it to an event. Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pkg cake mix, german chocolate
1 pkg kraft caramels (14 oz)
1 stick margarine
3/4 c milk
1 pkg chocolate chips (12 oz)
1 c peanuts, chopped
1 carton cool whip
1 king size snickers bar, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Mix cake according to directions on box.
  • 2. Pour half of the batter into a greased 9x13 cake pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 300°F.
  • 3. Melt caramels, margarine and milk in double broiler.
  • 4. When cake is cooled, pour caramel mixture over it and sprinkle with chocolate chips and peanuts. Spoon remainder of cake batter on top.
  • 5. Bake for 20 minutes at 250°F and then 10 more minutes at 350°F.
  • 6. Cool completely and top with cool whip and chopped up Snickers Bar. Enjoy!
  • 7. ****I have made this cake and not put the cool whip or Snickers bar on top and I have also made it and just put cool whip and no Snickers bar. It's up to you and what you're in the mood for.****
