This recipe uses boneless beef short ribs, but you can use bone-in -- just remove bones at the end of the cooking process.

Steps:
- 1. Spray interior of crockpot with vegetable spray.
- 2. Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a plastic gallon bag. Add ribs, a few at a time, and shake to coat.
- 3. Brown meat in a small amount of oil or butter in batches in a skillet. Remove and transfer to slow cooker. Reserve drippings.
- 4. Combine remaining ingredients in the skillet. Stir ingredients with drippings until mixture comes to a boil. Pour over ribs.
- 5. Cook on low 9-10 hours or until meat is tender, but not dry. Watch carefully.
- 6. Serve ribs topped with sauce.
