Number Of Ingredients 10

2 pounds Beef brisket
1 1/2 tablespoons Packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon Ground cumin
2 teaspoons Kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon Black pepper
2 tablespoons Chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, minced
3 cloves Garlic cloves, smashed
1 cup BBQ sauce
12 Slider buns
1/2 cup Pickle chips

Steps:

  • Stir together brown sugar, salt, cumin, and black pepper in small bowl.
  • Rub brisket with sugar mixture.
  • Put brisket in 6-quart slow cooker. Add smashed garlic and minced chipotles on top.
  • Cover and cook until tender. At least 5 hours on high or 10 hours on low. My preference is to cook on high for one hour and on low for 9 hours.
  • Transfer brisket to cutting board, reserving 1/2 cup cooking liquid. Slice brisket against the grain. Place in large bowl and use 2 forks to shred the slices. Add reserved liquid and stir until meat is coated.
  • Add brisket to buns. Top with your favorite BBQ sauce and pickles and cover with bun tops.
