Sloppy Joe Pasta image

This is a fast and easy pasta meal! Also great if you have leftover Sloppy Joe meat. I love fast meals that I can make, especially when I get to use my leftovers--no waste and I save a few dollars.

Time 35m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (16 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta
1 ½ pounds ground beef
1 ½ cups water
1 (6 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
1 (1.3 ounce) envelope Sloppy Joe seasoning mix
¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or to taste

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook bow-tie pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
  • While pasta boils, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  • Transfer beef back into the pan. Add water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasoning mix, and bring to a simmer. Continue to simmer until heated through and flavors have blended, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and mozzarella cheese and serve.
