Simple Roasted Squash Mash image

A simple way to make roasted squash that tastes delicious with roasts of any kind or great on its own.

1 butternut squash
4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place squash in the preheated oven and bake until easily pierced with a knife, 45 to 60 minutes.
  • Cut baked squash in half lengthwise, remove seeds with a spoon. Remove meat from skin and place into a serving bowl. Mash squash with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
