Shrimp Alfredo image

This is a recipe that is quick, easy to prepare, tastes great and helps make a great dish out of leftover shrimp or chicken that is sure to impress.

1 pkg spaghetti
1/4 c olive oil, extra virgin
1 1/2 tsp garlic, minced
1/3 c flour
1 chicken bouillon cube
2 c milk
1/2 tsp italian seasoning
tsp parsley flakes
1 c heavy cream
1/3 c parmesan cheese
1 1/2 c cooked peeled shrimp

Steps:

  • 1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain and keep warm till ready to serve. Cut the shrimp into bite size pieces. Meanwhile in a saucepan over medium low heat add the olive oil and garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • 2. Add the flour and stir till all is moistened, about a minute. Add the bouillon.
  • 3. Gradually add the milk while stirring to prevent any lumps from forming. Add the Italian seasoning, parsley flakes and the parmesan cheese.
  • 4. Bring to a slow boil then add the cream and shrimp and heat through. Serve over spaghetti.
