Shake Shack Cheese Sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tablespoon Canola oil
3/4 cups sliced onions
6 slices Jalapenos, sliced thin
2 teaspoons Peppercorns
1 pinch Salt
1 tablespoon White wine vinegar
2 teaspoons White wine
2 cups Heavy cream
2 cups American cheese

Steps:

  • Add the oil to a hot, medium sized pot over medium heat. Add in the onions, jalapeno slices, peppercorns, and salt. Cook until onions are translucent.
  • Deglaze the pan with the white wine vinegar and white wine. Reduce down, then add the cream and turn off the heat. Let steep for 30 minutes.
