Sesame Soba image

You can add grilled chicken, baked tofu, shrimp, etc. to make into a main dish. Otherwise it makes a delicious side dish or just eat the noodles as your main. You can play with this however you like!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 pkg (8 oz) soba noodles (you can use japanese or korean soba)
1 Tbsp peanut oil
2-3 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp fresh, minced ginger
1 Tbsp dark sesame oil
1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp chicken broth
1 Tbsp sugar
4 green onions, sliced
2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds
fresh, chopped cilantro (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, sugar and chicken broth together, set aside.
  • 2. Prepare soba noodles according to package directions. Rinse and set aside.
  • 3. Heat peanut oil in the bottom of wok or deep skillet over medium high heat.
  • 4. Add garlic and ginger, stir fry for a few seconds until fragrant. Careful not to burn garlic.
  • 5. Add noodles. soy sauce mixture to wok. Toss until heated through and well combined.
  • 6. Toss in green onions and toasted sesame. Continue to toss with noodles until well combined.
  • 7. Plate and Garnish with fresh, chopped cilantro if desired.
