I think I may have mentioned a time or two how much I like the flavor of cardamom. Here is an old recipe that I haven't made in years, it came to mind when I made the Earl Grey Tea Loaf I pinched from on here today. Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c unbleached white flour
2 tsp cardamon, freshly ground
1 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp kosher salt
3 large eggs
1/4 c sugar
1 c sour cream
10 Tbsp butter, unsalted, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  • 2. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside. Beat eggs and sugar together until creamy. Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Mix in sour cream and melted butter.
  • 3. Pour batter into prepared pan, baking until done, about an hour. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out onto rack and finish cooling. Dust with powdered sugar.
