Scalloped Corn and Ham Casserole image

If you need a corn recipe for any occasion, this is it. I would double it if you have a larger group coming. An ear of corn averages 800 kernels in 16 rows. Each kernel has a silk thread attached so that it can be pollinated. During hot summer nights a corn plant can grow three to four inches.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 can(s) whole kernel corn
3 cup(s) diced cooked ham
2 tablespoon(s) chopped onion
2 tablespoon(s) chopped green onion
1 1/2 cup(s) bread crumbs or crushed croutons
1 - egg, beaten
2 tablespoon(s) butter, or margarine

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients EXCEPT 1/2 cup bread crumbs and butter (or margarine). Pour mixture into greased casserole dish
  • Top with 1/2 cup bread crumbs and dot with butter. Bake covered in 375 F oven for 45 minutes
