Steps:
- Bake or micro several potatos. Fry sausage in bottom of soup pan, drain off fat, blot with paper towels and cut into rings when cool. Add butter to drippings over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion in the hot butter until tender. Add flour to butter and onion mixture; stir until smooth. Season with a little pepper& spices; continue to cook and stir for 1 minute. Gradually add potatoes, 1 cup of chicken stock, and milk. Stir well; add cheese and sausage. Simmer potato ham soup over low heat, stirring frequently, for about 20 minutes. Chunky potato soup serves 6 to 8.
