Salt-and-Pepper Butter image

Sure, it's optional, but trust us-you really want to make this.

Yield Makes about 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon kosher salt plus more
1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper plus more

Steps:

  • Using a wooden spoon, mix butter until smooth and creamy. Mix in salt and pepper. Season with more salt and pepper to taste.
  • DO AHEAD: Butter can be made 2 days ahead.
