Number Of Ingredients 12

3 can(s) salmon (6 oz)
1 cup(s) panko bread crumbs
2 - eggs beaten
3 tablespoon(s) heaping mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon(s) fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon(s) dry mustard
2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
2 pinch(es) emeril's essence (recipe below)
5 - shakes of dill
- salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoon(s) fresh basil chopped

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients together except the vegetable oil. Taste and adjust seasoning accordingly to your preference. Chill for 30 minutes in refrigerator to allow flavors to combine.
  • Form mixture into about 6 patties. Heat vegetable oil and fry the salmon patties until golden brown. About 4 minutes each side. As a note, I have used cooked salmon in lieu of canned salmon and it came out great! Make your own tartar sauce or garlic aoli and serve away!
  • Emeril's Essence Recipe from Food Network: Ingredients 2 1/2 tablespoons paprika 2 tablespoons salt 2 tablespoons garlic powder 1 tablespoon black pepper 1 tablespoon onion powder 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon dried thyme Directions Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Put in a jar and use it for many things!
