Steps:
- In a large bowl combine cucumbers, onion and salt. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.
- In a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar, water and celery seed. Allow to come to a boil and simmer until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool.
- Drain cucumbers well. Pour cooled sugar mixture over cucumbers. Add dill and garlic.
- Refrigerate for 1-2 days. Place in sterile jars. Store refrigerated.
