Now I know that probably many of you already knew about this; however, I didn't and so I thought I would share just in case a few other people might not know & want to try it too. I love anything that I can do to restore something naturally. We always have coconut oil and so I was excited to try this out. How to refinish wood with coconut oil. The coconut oil will re-hydrate the wood, restore the natural color and remove old musty smells if there is any. --I recently acquired some wooden pieces from family members that would of otherwise been thrown away and tried the coconut oil on them.

Steps:
- This is a very old stool that I brought home that they would of thrown away otherwise. So, I wanted to try this technique with it.
- It most certainly has brought back it's natural color to the wood but this one may need sanded on top...not sure.
- This is a cutting board I made in wood shop when I was in 7th or 8th grade. I thought it could use some TLC from the coconut oil too.
- This looks so much better now.
- This cutting board would have also been thrown away but I thought it was a really neat one so I brought this home too. I tried taking a pic before but the flash didn't take so it was a dark photo. But it really made a difference on this one as well. It looks a lot richer and wood grain looks deeper too.
