How to make Ranch Style Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy

4 pound(s) round steak, 1/2" thick
1 quart(s) milk
4 tablespoon(s) unbleached all-purpose flour
4 tablespoon(s) fat
- SAUCE INGREDIENTS
- "just a pinch" of pepper
- "just a pinch" of salt
1 cup(s) unbleached all-purpose flour
1 cup(s) milk
- milk

Steps:

  • Tenderize round steak.
  • Dip in milk and then flour, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Fry in deep fat at approximately 375 degrees until golden brown.
  • After steak is done, pour off fat leaving about 4 tablespoons in pan.
  • Add 4 tablespoons flour.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Add 1 quart milk.
  • Stir and cook until until thickened for steak gravy.
