RAISED BREAD MACHINE DONUTS image

These are very easy and yummy!

BREAD MACHINE RAISED DONUTS
2/3 c milk
1/4 c water
1/4 c softened margarine or butter
1 large egg
3 c bread flour
1/4 c sugar
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast or bread machine yeast

Steps:

  • 1. Place all dough ingredients in bread pan in the order listed. Select sweet dough cycle. Roll dough 3/8" thick on lightly floured board. Cut with floured donut cutter. Cover; let rise 35 to 45 minutes or until slightly raised. Heat 2 to 3" of oil to 375 degrees. Fry 2 or 3 donuts at a time for 2 to 3 minutes, turning as they rise to the surface until golden brown. Remove from oil. Drain on wire rack. While warm, roll in sugar, or your favorite topping. Cool if frosting them.
