Prince of Wales Cocktail image

This cocktail is said to have been composed by Edward Albert, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII). There are several variations but they always involve champagne. Cheers! Note: you may garnish this drink with a lemon twist to make it even fancier.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 - inch cube of pineapple
1 1/2 ounce(s) rye whiskey
2 dash(es) maraschino liqueur
2 dash(es) bitters
1 teaspoon(s) powdered sugar
- brut champagne

Steps:

  • 1. Muddle the pineapple, whiskey, maraschino liqueur, bitters, and powdered sugar in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add some ice and then shake it all up.
  • 2. Strain the mixture into a martini glass or champagne flute and then top the drink off with champagne. Cheers!
