POTATO GRATIN W/ MUSTARD & GRUYERE CHEESE image

3.5 lbs russet, peeled, 1/8 in. slices
1.5 tsp dried dill
Gruyere, grated, 10 oz.
1 1/3 c whip cream
1 1/3 c chicken stock
1/4 c dijon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven 400. Butter 13x9x2 glass dish. Layer 1/3 of potatoes. Salt & pepper. Sprinkle 1/2 tsp dill, 1 c cheese. Repeat layers twice. Mix cream, stock & mustard, pour over potatoes. Bake 1 hr til tender and top is brown & crusty. Cool 10 min.
