Pork-Ka-Bob image

Everybody has their own idea of what to put on a Kabob, there is no right or wrong. This is my favorite combination of vegetables, meat, and sauce. I have put a few slices of turnip on if I happen to have some at baking time.

1 pork chop
1 potato
8 plum sized tomatoes (whole)
1 medium onion
1 sweet pepper
8 slices of summer squash
1 hot pepper
2 strips of bacon
4 oz butter
1 Tbsp each of cellery salt, onion salt, garlic salt

Steps:

  • 1. Dice vegetables into squares and slice into pieces about 1/4" thick. Cut pork chop into squares about 1.5" Do not slice tomato, leave whole and UN-skinned.
  • 2. Start the squing onto the stick with 1 (or 2) strips of bacon. alternate ingredients . Terminate the bacon when you get to length of bacon, start new strip(s) of bacon and continue process.
  • 3. Melt butter and and add spices. Heat smoker over to 450 , cover kabob with butter sauce and place in smoker. Rotate after about 15 minutes and apply more butter, cook another 15 minutes or so.
