PINEAPPLE RICE CASSEROLE image

Pineapple & cheese are an unusual combination, but they seem to compliment each other in this recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 cup(s) uncooked instant rice
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1 can(s) 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375^. Prepare rice according to package directions. Stir in butter. Add pineapple, brown sugar and salt; spoon into a greased shallow 1 qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
