Pecan Logs image

This just sounds like those nutty logs you can buy in the store.

Number Of Ingredients 8

TO MAKE THE BODY
3 cup(s) confectioner's sugar
7 ounce(s) jar marshmallow cream
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
FOR THE BARK
14 ounce(s) bag caramels
3 tablespoon(s) water
1 1/2 cup(s) pecans, in pieces

Steps:

  • FOR THE BODY: Combine the Confectioner's Sugar, Marshmallow Cream, & Vanilla Extract. Knead it, It will be dry. Shape into 4 1/2-inch x 1 1/4-inch logs. Cover & chill overnight. (okay I think my cut into SIC was to be cut into SIX 4 1/2-inch x 1 1/4-inch logs)!
  • FOR THE BARK: Put the Caramels & Water into a double-boiler over boiling water. Melt the caramels. (probably can use the microwave with this part in a microwavable bowl).
  • Drop logs into the melted caramel. Roll logs into the pieces of pecans.
  • Let sit on wax paper to chill & chill 2 hours. Cut into 1/3-inch slices.
