My sister is a Vietnam Veteran along with my brother. She had to go for treatment in Texas and while she was there she fell in love with apples and peanut butter. She raved so much about this combination that I wanted to make an apple pie with peanutbutter in it. So this is what came about. She loves this pie!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven for 350 degrees. I dice apples up into small bite size pieces. Place them in a medium saucepan with two sticks of butter. I cup of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar. Put the heat on medium low. After the butter melts add your vanilla and 2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon. See first picture. Let simmer and a sauce will form. Turn heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Taste for flavor and add more cinnamon if needed.
- 2. In another bowl mix flour, stick of butter, 1 Cup of brown sugar and cinnamon. Will appear crumbly when finished. Set aside.
- 3. Remove apples and sauce from heat. With a straining spoon put the apple mixture into the graham cracker crust. Pour a little of the sauce into the apple mixture. Over the top of this add the rest of the brown sugar. Take the remaining sauce and place back on the stove and turning it onto low heat. When sauce is heated added the 1/2 Cup Peanut butter, stirring constantly as it will stick, until it is melted completely. Take the crumbly flour mixture and sprinkle on top of pie to form a crust. Pat lightly to mold to pie. Put pie on a cookie sheet and place inside the oven to lightly brown the crust. Take out of oven pour sauce on top and place back in oven for about 5-7 minutes. See pictures. I serve this with homemade vanilla ice cream. The peanut butter flavor just sets it off!
