Peach Cobbler image

This is the easiest cobbler ever! The original recipe calls for only milk and white sugar. I decided to use some of the peach juice and brown sugar. It works well together!

1 can(s) sliced peaches, 29 oz, in heavy syrup; drained but reserve liquid
2 c biscuit mix (i use bisquick)
1 c milk
1 c reserved peach juice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1 c butter, melted
1-1/2 c brown sugar, not packed

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°. Drain peaches, reserving liquid. Mix with brown sugar and set aside.
  • 2. Mix together biscuit mix, nutmeg, milk and peach juice. Add in melted butter until combined.
  • 3. Pour into 9x13" baking dish. No need to butter dish. Spoon peach mixture over batter.
  • 4. Bake @ 375° for 45-50 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or, even better, ice cream.
