PAULA DEEN MAC AND CHEESE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3/4 lb. elbow macaroni
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (about 10 ounces)
3 large eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
salt

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven 350. Lightly butter an 8X12 baking dish. Boil macaroni until al dente. Drain; transfer to bowl. Add 2 cups of cheese and toss until melted. 2. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sour cream. Add milk, butter and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir into macaroni and pur it into the prepared baking dish. sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese on top. Bake for 35 minutes until bubbling and cheese is melted. 3. Remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes before serving.
