Open-Faced Apple Pie image

All the goodness of apple pies!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 eggs, beaten
4 packets granulated artificial sweetener
½ cup butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie
3 cups chopped apples

Steps:

  • Cook corn syrup, Sweet 'n' Low, butter, flour until the mixture coats a spoon. Add beaten eggs, mix well. Add vanilla and nutmeg.
  • Put chopped apples into crust. Pour cooked mixture over apples.
  • Bake 15 minutes at 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Turn oven back to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
