I love onion rings, but never made them. I was experimenting the other day and just couldn't get the stuff to stick to the onions well enough, so I decided to go another route and chopped the onion up. Turned out well, and got two thumbs up from my husband.

Steps:
- 1. Heat about 1/2 inch oil in skillet (don't overheat or will burn quickly)
- 2. While oil is heating, chop up onion into large pieces, but seperate the layers.
- 3. Combine the remaining ingredients and mix completely.
- 4. Stir in the chopped onion.
- 5. Drop into hot oil (I dropped about 1/3 c of batter per) and brown, then flip and brown the other side.
