Olive Cheese Bread image

This is one of my very favorite breads to make as an appetizer and even a side for pasta dishes. It is easy and everyone loves the tangy, cheesy taste. You can adjust the amount of olives you add to suite your own taste. This is a crowd pleaser for sure!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 large can black olives, chopped
1 cup(s) green olives, chopped
3 tablespoon(s) butter, softened
1/2 cup(s) duke's mayonnaise
8 ounce(s) provolone cheese slices
1 cup(s) parmesan cheese, grated
salt to taste
pepper to taste
1 loaf french bread
1 tablespoon(s) garlic powder

Steps:

  • Finely chop olives and add to a large mixing bowl. Add butter, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, and seasonings. Mix well.
  • Slice French bread lengthwise and scoop out a small amount of the bread on each side to create a shallow channel.
  • Lay provolone cheese on the bread and spread the olive mixture over the cheese.
  • Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Let cool slightly and slice.
