Oh Peaches Breakfast Smoothie image

This is a wonderful thick smoothie to have in the morning. Healthful with flax, oatmeal and yogurt and flavored with cardamon for that extra zip. Pineapple just gives it that tropical feeling needed year round.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 1/2 medium banana in chunks (whole fresh, 1/2 bananafrozen)
1 medium peach, canned, sliced (juice reserved)
2 tablespoon(s) lite canned peach juice from fruit
1/4 cup(s) pineapple chunks (juice reserved)
2 tablespoon(s) lite pineapple juice from can
1/2 cup(s) peach flavored yogurt, low fat
1 tablespoon(s) flax
1/4 cup(s) cooked quick oats oatmeal
1/2 cup(s) low fat milk or cocnut milk (like dairy free so milk)
1/8 teaspoon(s) cardamon, ground
6 - ice if needed or to pour over

Steps:

  • Place banana chunks, juice, milk, peaches and pineapple and pulse to blend. Add rest of ingredients and blend till desired consistency. Place 3 ice cubes in each glass if desired and pour in smoothie.
  • TIP: SO Delicious Milk is a dairy free milk high in vitamins D and has other benefits. You can look it up online for further research. It can be found in with the health foods at your local grocery store. It comes in Vanilla, Chocolate (yumm), and Strawberry and I feel is more smooth than milk is. This is not an AD for the product, I have just tried it and find it better tasting than regular chocolate or vanilla milk.
  • Note: This smoothie is quite thick. You can add additional liquids if you desire, and/or use all fresh banana.
