Norma's Holiday Almonds image

Had these at a neighbors party and ask the host for the recipe. They were so good that I made a batch and served them at my own party years ago. Was looking at my Holiday recipes and came across this that I haven't made for a while. I remember that every one at the party enjoyed them and ask me for the recipe. Going to make these...

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 c packed brown sugar
1 tsp apple pie spice or pumpkin pie spice
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 Tbsp egg white (one or two eggs) depending on the size
2 c blanched almonds

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat your oven at 325
  • 2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and seasoning of choice and set aside.
  • 3. In another bowl, whisk egg white until foamy and add almonds and toss to coat completely.
  • 4. Add spice mixture and toss to coat
  • 5. Spread on a greased foil lined baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned; stirring occasionally.
  • 6. Remove from oven and cool completely. Store in airtight container until time to serve.
