Night Before Christmas French Toast image

2 tablespoons margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
4 slices Texas toast thick bread or 4 slices thickly sliced bread
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups skim milk
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • Grease 8x8 pan.
  • In a small saucepan, melt margarine and brown sugar. Pour into baking pan. Place bread on top of the mixture. In a small bowl, beat eggs, milk and cinnamon together. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover and place in fridge overnight.
  • Bake uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Serve with syrup and/or fruit. To add extra calories, add extra 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and use whole milk. Brunch/lunch is so easy when made the night before.
