Number Of Ingredients 12

5 large eggs
2/3 c sugar
2 1/2 c flour
1 Tbsp syrup
1 1/2 pkg candied whole cherries (do not cut)
2 stick butter
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp allspice
1/4 c bourbon
1 c candied pineapple (1 # cup)
2 qt chopped pecans

Steps:

  • 1. Cream butter, sugar and add eggs. Blend well. Sift spices, flour and add to butter. Add syrup, bourbon, fruit and pecans. Do not flour the fruit. Mix this up and refrigerate overnight. Drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees until brown.
  • 2. This is great to give as gifts or just to keep in the refrigerator and use when unexpected guests come over. I take these to various functions and always get a lot of praises! My kids love these after Christmas. We just bake them and have with coffee or hot chocolate.
