Muay Thai Punch image

This cocktail is a nod to Muay Thai kickboxing, but it packs only a mild punch. It calls for SangSom Thai rum, a slightly fruity, lightly spiced spirit that's credited with rarely causing hangovers -- good news if you go a few rounds!

Yield 1 cocktail

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 ounces Thai rum
2 ounces fresh orange juice
1 ounce pineapple juice
1/2 ounce blackstrap rum
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 dashes grenadine
Orange and lime wedges, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine the Thai rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, blackstrap rum, lime juice, simple syrup and grenadine in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a short ice-filled glass.
  • Garnish with orange and lime wedges.
  • Simple Syrup
  • Heat equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
