Monte Cristo Casserole image

Number Of Ingredients 9

8 large eggs
2 c milk
6 dash(es) hot sauce
1 tsp dry mustard
1 loaf white bread
1/4 c butter, unsalted & melted
1/2 lb turkey, sliced
1/2 lb ham, sliced
3 c swiss cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • 1. Coat a 13x9 inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, hot sauce and mustard.
  • 2. Arrange slices of bread to cover bottom of dish. Brush with melted butter.
  • 3. Top bread with turkey and ham that has been cut into small strips and 1 1/2 cups swiss cheese. Top with remaining bread and brush with butter. Pour the egg mixture over bread and make sure everything is coated. Sprinkle with remaining swiss cheese.
  • 4. Preheat oven to 350. Bake 30-40 minutes. Until golden. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
