Monkey Bread image

I love to bake & this is by far one of the easiest breads you can make. All kids love this recipe, young & old..

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 can(s) pillsbury grand homestyle refrigerated biscuits
1/2 c sugar, granulated
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c walnuts, chopped
1/2 c raisins
1 c brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. Melt butter & add brown sugar. Set aside to cool.
  • 3. Prepare greased bundt pan.
  • 4. In a ziploc bag mix granulated sugar with cinnamon.
  • 5. Open biscuits & cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Put pieces, about 8 pieces at a time, in ziploc & coat each piece with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Then set aside.
  • 6. Mix nuts with raisins.
  • 7. Layer the bundt pan with biscuit pieces. Next sprinkle nut-raisin mixture. Another layer of biscuits. Another layer of nut-raisin mixture. One last layer of biscuits & sprinkle the remaining nut-raisin mixture.
  • 8. Pour the butter-brown sugar mixture over top, spreading evenly.
  • 9. Place in preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly brown.
  • 10. When done, remove from oven & allow to sit for atleast 10 minutes in bundt pan. After 10 minutes turn over onto large cake plate.
  • 11. Eat & enjoy.
