Mom's Short Cake image

This is an old fashioned short cake recipe. I always use it for strawberries.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 c flour
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 c scalded milk (milk heated to boiling point)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt

Steps:

  • 1. Put eggs and sugar in bowl. Beat until thick. Add flour. Bring your milk to boiling point and add to mixture while hot.
  • 2. Add your vanilla, baking powder and salt. Bake in sheet pan at 350 degrees F. for 25 minutes. Serve with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
