Mom's Marinara image

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can 28 oz. can crushed Cento tomatoes
1 can 6 oz. can Cento tomato paste
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup fresh basil shredded
2 teaspoons dried oregano or (1 tbsp. fresh)

Steps:

  • 1. Add 1 tbsp. olive oil to medium hot skillet with lid and heat oil for 2 minutes.
  • 2. Sauté garlic in pan 1 minute and add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Mix well.
  • 3. Add shredded basil, 1 tsp. salt and 1/2 tsp. ground pepper. Stir sauce, set temperature to low, partially add lid and cook 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • 4. Turn off heat and use for any recipe calling for marinara. Buon Appetito!
